She didn't come off as neurotic she came off like she was insane.

A lot of one, a little of the other. But she was sane enough to know she had a problem. I thought she nailed the role.

I agree.
As someone who just saw it and doesn't understand the hate for this movie (I enjoyed it quite a lot), Tea Leoni played the part pretty well. Alittle more than just neurotic but believeable & we'll acted.

Neurotic wasn't the best description for Tia Leone's character. She was a full-blown textbook narcissist.

I thought Tea Leoni was brilliant in this role. A total neurotic in crisis. Her husband's easy going success made her feel worthless after losing her own career and sense of self. A completely flawed human being. I loved it. Well done.
