Owen+Livien?

Ok, I'm probably going to get barked at but I really think there was more to Owen and Livien then meets the eye. Me and my friend are debating. I think Owen was in love with Livien, she thinks it was the other way round. Her argument is Livien getting upset when Owen moves out, but I still think it was the other way round: That Owen used all the 'oh you're trying to seduce me? *Playfight*' and 'jilted lover' remarks as deflection, a double bluff kind of thing, and like he was giving Livien a chance to agree, with it still being able to be a joke should that be necassery. Plus when Livien announces his engagement, watch Owen's face. And when he says 'worse still, we love him for it.' watch Livien's expression. And some of the tension and conversations they have at some points. Watch it again with this in mind, you may see my point. And I'm not just saying this in a fangirly 'wow pretty musician love *drools*' type of way, I think it was an undercurrent in the movie.

...Or I could be making it up, it's all good ;)

Would fangirlism be as appealing if it were healthy?

I agree that at least Owen (if not Livien as well) was a little more to the "gay" side of the Kinsey scale than he let on. hehe. I think Dominic Monaghan is doomed to a life of being slashed with every male character he ever plays against. But hey, that's cool.
Sidebar: Am I the only one who--for some ridiculous and inexplicable reason--thought this was based on a true story? For some reason, I thought I'd read that this was based on Livien's autobiography. That's probably the stupidest thing I've ever admitted to, but I truly honestly believed that.

But yeah my new favorite slash couple: Livowen.

Livowen, hee, I live that! Yeha I'm a terrible terrible slash addict. Especially Dom-wise.

As to the autobiography, that is more then possible. Or maybe (having watched the making-of) based on someone Rebecca Cook knew.
