Anybody could help explain about Zou Jie's death? Does he commit suicide or what? Correct me if I'm wrong but when Mou explained to Hua about her father's death, she did say something about he died of being treated unfairly...or did she? Now what does that mean?
shareZou Jie committed suicide: stepped in front of an oncoming train and became a hamburger meat; of course for film aesthetics this scene was just implied when Li was called upon by the authorities to I.D. Zou Jie's body. Mo was telling her (adopted) grandaughter Hua that her father was treated unfairly and left it at that. Mo was implying that Li wrongfully accused her husband Zou Jie of molesting their adopted daughter Hua and this crazy accussation by Li drove Zou Jie to commit suicide. Of course to protect her granddaughter's mental and emotional state, Mo didn't tell her this. She just told her that her dad was dealt a "bad card" in life.
