This movie was horrible

My god. After he goes to NY, the movie took a fast downhill crash. I agreed with the reviewer on most parts, but he was waaay too generous giving this disaster an 8 out of 10. Give me a break.

Is that how Japanese people really see Americans? As slow-talking weirdos involved in unrealistic situations? It was offensive at best.

Yes thats right, one movie depicts how an entire nation sees another nation. IT'S A MOVIE!

This movie was horrible? I thought it was fantastic, save some poor acting from Eiko Koike and some of the american cast in one pivotal scene.

The pill crunching, zapping Aya scene made me laugh so hard. It was awful.

yes..that scene was creepy yet funny as hell but i once saw a person that actually had a ....nervous break down or what ever sort of insanity was it for the moment and he acted much like her so....pretty realistitc i'd say!

all in all i thought i was a great movie.

The scene with Aya and the pills was so horrible...it sort of ruined the movie. I mean it was too poorly done. Maybe they didn't even need that part in the movie. Just knowing that she died might have been enough....

I actually was a fan of Matsuda. But even that couldn't make me sit through this crap. Hirosue is fine but she's been around a bit too long to play the sweet/cutie thing, esp against Matsuda. No chemisty, poor casting. Don't even mention the NY gangsta and gun thingy. Totally lost.

Was anyone else reminded of Tetsuo when Aya started going all crazy?

I liked the movie, up until the location change to NY, then it just seemed like everyone stopped trying.

I actually liked the movie. The melding of two minorities...Asian and African American...something you don't see too often. Usually it's Caucasian and Asian or Caucasian and African American or Caucasian and Native American. I get the feeling this may have bothered some of the viewers who are used to seeing white characters with minorities.

I felt it did a good job of portraying human disruption because lets keep it real, real life is indeed like that. Our lives don't play out as some little consistent smooth paced thing. Crap happens! We end up in situations we wish could have avoided, we meet strange and peculiar characters during our lives, we're judged wrong by others, minorities interact with other minorities, we stereotype each other, we fall in love, we experience heart-break......Yep the movie hit the nail on the head. Loved it!
