the storyline is pretty good but boy god the special effects totally ruin this film!

I wasn't embarrassed to watch this movie...I actually thought it
rawked! simply because of how horrible it is. Althought this is
not supposed to be a comedy, I laughed more watching this movie than
I have with huge budget comedy flick. That's all I'm going to say
because anything else would be spoilers.

It wasn't that bad for what I expected. You see a the name of the movie is Arachina it has a no name cast and it is about giant spiders and it has maybe a 2 dollar budget what do you expect? Hitchcock!
I thought it never took it self seriously which made it kind of amusing. THe old man was a pretty good actor. And the woman kicked butt. The malelead was not Henry Fonda but he was pleasent enough for his role. To me it was entertaining and that is all I ask for and I was actually pleasently surprised.

i think the male lead was fantastic lol :) but yeah the old man was good too.. it was just the two "paris hilton" wannabe twins that got on my nerves.

Oh Yes Robert DeNiro better watch out! I think the two bimbos were suppose to get on our nerves. they're bimbo's. Because they got on my nerves too. lol. Usually they are the first to go in these type of movies. But again the movie surprised me because to my dismay they made it through the first scene.

haha yeah i was surprised they made it to the end also..Although I had rather hoped that Zeke would have survived.. actually at the beginning in the plane I thought that when the proffessor (or someone else) called the girls "something twins" he was serious and that the girls were sisters.. so I was like OH MY GOD!! when they had sex!! Lol then I realised what he meant.

Its supposed to be a fun movie. The actors were all pretty inexperienced but still they got the job done. I laughed a lot at this movie. I know not all of the laughs were intentional but some were. Its worth a rental or pickign up in a discount bin.

I must mention this line again! --

"There was nothing there, I saw it."

"There was 'nothing there' AND you saw it?"

That's gotta be the best horribly funny line I've heard all year!

As for my brief review, it was as good as most Sci-Fi specials get...which isn't good, but in comparison it was no better, no worse.

LOL this had to be one of the funniest movies I have ever seen. You have to watch it with friends that you make stupid jokes with all time otherwise don't bother. Personally I think the spiders looked more like beetles and Zeke resembled Screetch from Saved by the Bell.

Yes I enjoyed this movie too. It was fun.

I agree, the monsters were more like beatles. For a start they had beetle-like mandibles. Secondly, they seemed to have 6 legs? Certainly at one point the star said "Don't shoot anything that has less than 6 legs" or something like that. I'd need to see screen-caps to see if they do have 8 legs, like spiders are supposed too. Someone posted some caps in another thread about the CGI, but I can't tell from these pictures;

I enjoyed it as well listen to the commentry and you'll see it was mean't to be clasic B movie with the terrible effects.That is it's charm.

I just can't help watching awful movies like this. Once you see a film is beyond bad, you have to see it's dreadfulness in it's entirety.

Seriously, it looked like they spent less than $100 on the FX budget.
