I truly believe that 9 Souls is the single greatest film ever made

If you have not seen this, do yourself a favor and remedy that asap. It's best described as an endearing look at humanity as though in a funhouse mirror tilted by existentialism mixed with the strange spice of hope, a mumblecore fantasy full of humor and honesty that will not only shock but move anyone open to experiencing this awe-inspiring work of art.

Agreed, it's definitely deep, profound piece of cinema of the beginning of 21st century. Soundtrack is one of the most tragic I heard in a while, words are useless to describe the emotions it holds, especially the title theme. Japanese know how to balance drama and tragedy with comedy and adsurd. Bravo, kudos!

The only other times a work of film made me feel so strange was Natural Born Killers in the theater for the first time, Irreversible in the theater, The Saragossa Manuscript, El Topo, and oddly enough the way Elijah Wood boarded the ship to move on to the afterlife in the final Lord of the Rings trilogy film, The Return of the King. I had truly never felt such great loss that he was going to have to leave them when they'd fought so da-mned hard to defeat the darkness and help the world see another day full of sun and freedom. Idk. Anyways, just glad someone else thinks this is an incredibly unique and truthful and mysterious movie that will likely be quite different for everyone who watches it.
