Question

Um, is it just me, but is there an underlying lesbianism or at least lesbianistic tendancies in these movies? The trilogy that is...

From commercials I've seen of Whispering Corridors and Momento Mori, there seems to be that...And I saw Wishing Stairs, and there seems to be a little in that movie too...What does everyone else think?

reply

The first movie doesn't have any lesbians but just very colse friendship. There's a lesbian couple in Memento Mori (their relationship is portrayed really well!) There's some underlying lesbianism in Wishing Stairs (they could have ended up as a couple. And Hae-ju had a crush on So-hee) There's a lesbian teacher-student relationship (actually, two of them) in the fourth movie "Voice".

So yeah, there's lesbianism in these movies :D

Even though one of the girls ends up having a one night stand with a MALE teacher and he gets her pregnant. Continuing with that really offensive and ridiculous troupe. And it was still considered good?

reply

Yeah, there is in some of the movies. Sometimes it's just a crush, sometimes it's an affair. Although "Whispering Corridors" was more abour friendship and bullying from teachers and students alike than about lesbianism.

there was nothing that implied physical intimacy in WISHING STAIRS - you'd have to ask korean girls for an definitive answer tho
