Please release this movie!
VHS or DVD, it doesn't matter. Some of us HPL-fanatics are going crazy(er) waiting to see this. We can't all make it to Portland for the film festivals!
FYI: Lurker Films (www.lurkerfilms.com) will be releasing "The Yellow Sign" on DVD in spring 2006.
The video has been remastered, and, hopefully, the sound will also be remixed (5.1 if I can swing it).

Hi Aaron, the Lurker Films website notes that "The films The Yellow Sign and The King in Yellow are not presented in their true aspect ratio...We intend to correct this in the next pressing."
Has this been corrected? I'd like to order the film but would really prefer widescreen. Thanks!

Thanks for the interest!
We're working on fixing the aspect ratio. The materials are almost ready to go, however, the money to press another set of disks isn't there. In a weird way, people need to buy the disk now, and then we'll replace it when the new ones are ready (I know how much a pain in the ass that is).
On the plus side, the "correct" version will look a lot better (not just because of the aspect ratio; there's been some color/contrast adjustment as well), sound a lot better (I adjusted the mix again), AND have some additional material not on this current version (the fabled "deleted ping-pong scene").
So buy it now, and in the near future (spring?) we'll replace it.
Now I am going to drown my despair and pain in this matter with some reposado tequila.

Got the DVD and thoroughly enjoyed the movie. Shawna Waldron did well (with a lot riding on her performance), and I think everybody involved did a nice job putting all of the budget on the screen.
Everybody who enjoys Chambers/Lovecraft style movies needs to pick this up. For 16 bucks, you get this movie (over 40 minutes long) with commentary, plus a couple of other shorts. Lots of fun for the money!
