shareI think they made the change so Jerri could have a legit reason to want to go back to school and actually stay there, which she wouldn't have had if Guy was up and active like he is in the show. I miss original Guy too, but I guess it's possible that movie Guy became the series version somewhere between the final scene and the first episode.
