you people keep complaining about how bad this movie was, but how do you expect a film to be perfect with a 72 000$ budget? A perfectly neat image filmed with the latest quality camera? it's a B movie, what did you guys expect? Award-winning acting performances?

i found shallow ground pretty entertaining and it changes from all those bloody remakes/prequels Hollywood keeps producing.

I'd rather watch bad acting in a good/or not attempt at making something new than another film about a courageous american babe fighting an evil asian kid raising from the dead OR a mysterious psycopath killer wearing a mask.

no wonder why Hollywood keeps remaking (and destroying) classinc (and foreign) horror films. whenever they try something new they're being critisized by fans. keep encouraging bigger production companies and bitch about films that are trying to be inventive just because they can't have a budget like the texas chainsaw remake or any other well done but ridiculous film.

here's the idea:

you guys hate their films BECAUSE
their films have crappy acting and lower quality BECAUSE
big production companies won't back them BECAUSE
you guys hate their films

Then just stop renting B movies and keep going to the theater and watch the latest horror remake/blockbuster and you'll avoid deception.

actually i watch a lot of b horror films. some are crap but some like shallow ground are way more creepy than many bigger budget films. in fact i may be a scream queen someday:)

I totally agree with you iwishiwereyou I get very tired of people trash talking films such as this one, like you said they didnt have the budget like all these big shot holloywood movies so what the heck did everyone except from the movie. Stop watching movies in hopes of things and start watching movies just for pure enjoyment. I found this movie to be orginal (something we dont get often) and very entertaining. And just for the record I am watching it now, and got on here to see the names and faces behind the movie.

U can make a good movie even with 72000$ but u got to have an idea about what a good movie means.
"Shallow Ground" is one of the most stupid movies i've ever watched.

Correct. A low budget doesn't mean squat.
The problem is the fact that the american movie industry is like a conveyor belt of bad taste. You should see what the norwegian film industry can make with just half of the money this movie was made from. That said, the US still makes the best movies overall (including the UK). But it still amazes me that directors etc. get the funding for movies like Shallow Ground.

And bannr, your comment was fcking uncalled for and totally redundant. That's some argument you've got there when you've got nothing intelligent to say. Moron.

the plot sucked adn made no sense. you dont need a great budget to have a great script.
