*beep*

why do normal adult people watch shitty sentimental films like that???
I just don't get it. Welcome to the real world! This is primitive TV crap that is not only predictable, but insulting to the inteligence of anybody, even a child. Stop wasting your time and watch something meaningfull instead.
P.S. By the way, if you are wondering why I watched this crap, i was doing it as part of my job, and not because I wanted to.

I don't understand why this movie would be so repulsive to you. What is it about it which you specifically found to be "primitive", "insulting" to your intelligence and not "meaningful" ?

What then would you consider to be "meaningful" TV ? Certainly not garbage like "The Simple Life", "The Swan" or Britney Spears' music videos I hope ?!

What's wrong with people wanting to watch your so-called *beep* Sentimental Films" ?! True, it may in no way reflect the ugly realities of real life ... but shows like these remind us that kindness remains an integral component of human nature.

I second that Modrechai Abrabanel

I LIKE a simple movie about simple times with no drugs, sex or murder in it. When I want a "feel good" movie, this is what I reach for. I know it'll be comforting on a cold holiday night, thank you! I also plan to live in such a place in 5 years, so it makes me feel good about that, too!

Perhaps if people watch more of this 'sentimental' *beep* the world would be a better place. Some people, not too unlike urself are so full of hate, and anger which is directed sporadically at anything and everything, a dose of sentimentality should be prescribed to them on a regular basis.

Your comments rather than making you seem uber intelligent, make you pitiable.

That you lack the capacity to open up your heart and mind to the simple, honest way of life, which not too many moons ago was common place, well quite frankly, its saddening.

You're SO right! Now please go back to your fantastic life and leave us stupid bastards alone, so we can watch this if we choose so.

Should people just decide to get as intelligent, enlightened and educated as you obviously are, just because you tell them to?

P.S. By the way, if you are wondering why I watched this crap, I was doing it as part of my spare time, and because I wanted to. BTW, I do think Kurosawa movies have more beef to them, but then again, your Kurosawa collection surely must be even bigger than mine.

I found the film to be very sweet, sentimental, and meaningful. That's what the holidays are all about. It's a time of year to reflect on our lives and our loved ones and celebrate the season in the spirit of kindness and charity. I don't understand why people have become so cynical and allergic to such emotions...it's sad to be so desensitized to not be able to grasp such things and appreciate them for the simple things they are. I feel sorry for you.

Most Christmas films are sweet and mushy and often tear-jerking, employing B or C List actors who don't real fit in movies made for the big screen.

And yes, they are very corny. But I enjoy corny sometimes, especially when I'm chilling out and not really in the mood for corpses or druggies blowing peoples' heads off.

When it's not the Christmas season, I often watch chick-flicks and love romantic comedies, even though I consider myself to be the last of the alpha-males.

However, this film was far too predictable and the ending was lunchbox letdown.
The character portrayed by Ms. Garth was not real likeable and the message was not useful at all.

After watching this movie I had to cut up an onion just to get a few tears, without which I would have felt unfulfilled for my invested time.

Although it was nice to see the Beaver's mother again. God bless her on her 94th birthday.
