Nessun Dorma

I haven't noticed anyone posting about this scene as the main subject so I apologise if anyone has done so already.

The first timewe see Ramon walk/fly while Nessun Dorma playsis one of the most magnificent and beautiful scenes I have seen in any film. I'm not one to highlight cinematography in films but this scene alone is worthy of an academy award.

Are there any other scenes similar to this in other films which have had you in awe?

On another note, I would say that overall the film deserves all of the high praise and accolades it has received to date. Strong performances from all of the cast, in particular Bardem who takes the lead in what is sometimes seen as a controversial and difficult subject to discuss, yet delivers it in a very honest and humane way.

My thoughts exactly - this scene, with such a magnificent music and beauty, is so truly moving...
Well, for me, I can just remember two similar scenes in which beauty of music and emotions mixed : Edward G.Robinson's slow death surrended by his favourite music and scenic views in Soleynt Green and an AIDS dying Tom Hanks listening Maria Callas' Norma aria in Philadelphia...

Very true and very similarly in the likes of Braveheart and Gladiator.

Even the vibrant colours and cinematography reminded me of The Fall which used this to great effect through the whole movie. Also worth a watch if you haven't seen it.

Thank you for The Fall - I already bought it but haven't watch it yet (and I truly cannot wait anymore thanks to your post !)
