The note inside the book
I caught this film on IFC and I'm not sure if I just missed this part or what but when the book first arrives and Javier opens it and a note falls out, from Julia I'm assuming, to Ramon. What does it say?

Presumably it's her reason for chickening out of the pact
In the end there's a poem recited by Ramon, so I presume that poem was in the final letter.
