I think the thing keeping me from liking this movie isn't how dumb it is (I liked JP3 after all) but the damn Indominus Rex.
I just can't get over the presence of a fake Dino in a Jurassic Park movie. They also made the whole movie about it which didn't help. I think we would have been with it being about T-Rex and raptors again since it had been 15 years since the last movie.
Also could they not have used the Mosasaur more?!
That didn't bother me, since after all, all the dinosaurs are genetic knock offs of their naturally evolved predecessors. What did bother me was the scenario for the disaster in the park in which it escaped. I find it strains credulity that, given the history of what happened at Jurassic Park, that the geniuses behind Jurassic World wouldn't have had extreme contingencies in place to contain such as incident. How about instead of 1 tracker, have 20 trackers all over its body and maybe an explosive device implanted in its brain just in case? I think the movie would have worked better if the disaster was the result of someone/people intentionally sabotaging the park

Personally I wish they'd never made a new park at all and just done a simple story about people going on an adventure on Isla Nublar through the old park which is what I've always wanted.
