Why did they have to kill Zara like that?

Zara's death was wrong. I stopped watching the movie which I had been enjoying up till then. It should have been Bryce Dallas Howard character or the older nephew who deserved to get eaten like that, they were the bad ones who caused the problems, not Zara who was innocent, her death was just the usual Spielberg sadism, he is a revolting human being.

Another theory of mine is that she rejected some J-World VIP's sexual advances and they did this as a result, why else so cruel and viscous? If it was Claire or Zach, it would have been fun and enjoyable and I could have finished watching the movie.

He didn't direct this movie, it was directed by Colin Trevorrow. The Zara killing had no purpose other than life happens/murphy's law.

Spielberg's company produced it and he always kills innocent people in a cruel way instead of the ones who deserve it. A good filmmaker should understand an audience's response to the story and craft it accordingly. Story's aren't about Murphy's law unless it's an 'art film' which this is not. In a standard genre entertainment film, Zara has been made to pay for someone else's misdeeds while the guilty (Claire and Zach) escaped.

Was Dennis Nedry from the first movie innocent? Even though he's the one responsible for the fences going down and causing the Dino's to break out? What about the guy in part 2 trying to create a new Jurassic Park by exploiting the animals and getting people killed to achieve his goal? I don't really see your point here, bad people in JP die just as much as the good.....kinda like in real life too.

Wasn't Zara the Brit? Hollywood sure loves to pick on Brits these days.

Do they?

I've noticed that it seems like UK actors (and to some extent directors are well) are all over Hollywood today.

Who is Zara? Been a few years since seeing the movie.

Thanks, now I remember her.

She was a nobody character. If this was Star Trek, she would have been wearing a red shirt.

The Director was noobish as hell. He's the type of director that can only make films with more explosions. The character was a victim of horrid writing to a sequel that should have been Thanos snapped out of existence.
