Waterfall? I'm doubting it.

Isla Nublar is supposedly 22 square miles in area. I don't believe that that is enough area, to gather enough runoff, to produce a steadily flowing waterfall--maybe a temporary one, during and after a heavy rainfall, but not as a steady feature.

By contrast, Big Island, Hawaii, has a waterfall, but it is 4,000+ square miles in area.

Anyone know of any small islands that have waterfalls?

Can people not just sit back an enjoy a movie anymore without going crazy over-analyzing every little damned thing? Guess what? The Crichton novel had a waterfall in it too! Big deal.

I am not a fan. I just happen to enjoy movies. Fans are embarrassing.

But you're ok with the dinosaurs?

reply

"...OK with the dinosaurs?" Actually no. The main flaw is the frog (and other) DNA. That means they're not really dinosaurs. We cannot study them to learn about real dinos of long ago, as Dr. Grant tried to do in the first movie.

Hilarious!

It could be a man-made feature. Like a decoration.

reply

Could be. They certainly exist. This one would probably need to use salt water, as there is no real fresh water. For their fresh water they would probably distill it in a desalination facility, like Aruba does. But they wouldn't waste distilled water for a decoration, so that would be salt water.

I'm more curious why the little brother's matches were still dry after they jumped over the waterfall & into the pond below. And furthermore, I'd like to know why he was carrying matches in the first place??
