Tropical Albany

Did anyone else notice the guy from the tv show "the office" at the party in the beginning say he was going to tropical Albany for Christmas? My family I saw this and thought it was hilarious being from Albany, NY ourselves. I know there are other Albany's in the U.S (Ohio, Georgia) maybe others i'm not aware of, but being as when the movie first opened we thought it was set in NYC, we thought they were referring to Albany, NY (state's capital by the way, not NYC as a lot of people think) and thought it was hilarious. We have relatives downstate that dislike coming here because it's a little colder and there is less to do. We then found out later that the movie was set in San Fransisco and thought our interpretation of the joke didn't make sense anymore. Conceivably they could be visiting Albany, NY from CA but why mention a relatively unknown city like that if the movie wasn't set in NYC? Why not just say NYC or any other cold weather state?

There's an Albany in the San Francisco Bay Area.

I've always thought they were referring to Albany, NY...as it's the only Albany I have ever heard of. And the 'balmy' line was sarcastic and making fun of the fact that it would be freezing and snowy there. And the Albany, CA...its a burb of SF and there would be no reason to stay the night on a cot, you would just drive 30 minutes back home.
