Filmed in mid-Missouri

I think this premiered in Columbia, MO, during my senior year of high school. We lived about an hour and a half away from Columbia and I read about in the paper. It was shot mostly in Fayette, MO, another college town about a half hour from Columbia. Apparently the director is from mid-Missouri. I don't know if anyone else cares, but I thought it was cool. I wish I could have gone to the premier.

I will be having a press screening at my theater on April 14 and I believe will be opening it on the 28th!

That's pretty cool. I don't know if other people are as excited when movies are filmed or take place in their states, but we Missourians love it when Hollywood comes knocking. Maybe it's just Show-Me Pride? Who knows? But I remember getting quite giddy when I heard "Killshot" was being filmed in Cape Girardeau.
Anyway, glad to meet some Missourians here. I'm from the very northern edge of Kansas City, just north of Gladstone and just south of Smithville.

I was working on a production of "Bye Bye Birdie" in Fayette, Missouri the summer that this was being filmed. I grew up in that area, and it was kind of strange being invaded by a film crew. We couldn't drive down certain streets sometimes because of the filming. They even hijacked our theater one weekend in order to do some sound recordings. I'm glad this is finally being released here (I live in St. Louis now). Hopefully the movie is better than my production of "Birdie". :)

I was one of the extras in the movie!
If you look on the bottom row of the shot that shows the whole crowd, I am bottom left next to the wife and kids of the school president, and I am in a green shirt...I am 15 and was like 11 at the time. It was great.

This is very cool!! I am from Kansas City, Missouri and they have been shouting this movie out on the radio a lot!! I live in South Kansas City but it's only playing in NKC but I think I'll make the 3 minute trek to give a little show-me state support!!

Does anyone know if this movie will play in Denver? I lived in Boonville in 2003 when part of the movie was filmed down the street on the old Kemper Military School campus (also made famous in Chucky 3!). Shout out to all Missourians!

My dad actually took me to be an extra in this movie when I was in high school. We lived in Columbia, so it was only about an hour away. We then got to see the premiere in our hometown at the Missouri Theater, and Lucas Black was there to answer questions.

Anyone know if this movie's been picked up by a big company yet? I haven't seen it available for DVD release, and I actually quite liked the movie (plus, of course, I want to slow-mo to try to see myself as an extra)!

And during the long, boring between-takes of the graduation scene, Niki Crawford and the band actually jammed out some songs (yes, they're actually singing in the take that appears in the movie--that's not a backup tape). That woman can really sing.

I transferred from Central Methodist College (now University) just before this movie was filmed. Several of my friends were chosen to be "extras"! Haven't seen it yet, never could remember the title.

Who says that nothing interesting happens in Missouri! I'm in NE Missouri about 3 hrs from Columbia so this was cool.

I go to school at CMU in Fayette. I was actually here about the time they were filming....
