2nd floor of the beach house.

As far as I can tell, the 2nd floor has only Charlie’s bedroom, the bathroom, a balcony and that’s it. That doesn’t make sense to me. It’s such a small bedroom. I saw a blueprint of the house from a search and it looks like there’s maybe another little balcony on the other side but I don’t think we ever see it.

Anybody know exactly how many rooms were supposed to be on the 2nd floor?

This is the sort of thing I usually often wonder.

For example, in the cartoon 'The Snowman' from 1983 (if I remember correctly), the house changes room placement and architecture almost every shot, just so the snowman can be seen through the window (making it impossible to draw a blueprint of that house because of this reason).

However, when it comes to this house, you do realize this is filmed in a studio, and there's no 'actual house'?

Also, even if this was a real house (which it isn't), why should every room be shown to us, if only a couple of them have anything interesting ever happening in them?

I am sure there's also another bedroom that's occupied by Charlie's brother sometimes, but my memory is a bit hazy on that.

By the way, how can you have a blueprint of a house that doesn't exist? Did they really model the studio after some actual house?

Of course it was shot in a studio, lol! Set designers make blueprints. Alan and Jake’s rooms were on the ground floor.

Why would they show us every room? No reason, just thought maybe they had.
