The producers and other studio folk do all the really hard work to make a show great, including selecting the cast. Once that happens, the actors just have to learn their lines and do what comes naturally.

Charlie Sheen had to rehearse a couple of days and shoot his scenes, then go home and not worry until the writers created another script.

In other words, the actors get all the credit when most of the truly hard work is done behind the cameras. Sheen was totally dismissive and insulting to those who gave him another career life and a million dollars an episode.

If they hated him, I don't blame them.
