Most underused characters?

In my humble view...

Kandi: She was hilarious and deserved way more than 17 episodes.
Jerome: How the hell was he only in 2 episodes??? He was hilarious!
Gordon: Funny character and a good friend to Charlie who only appeared a handful of times in five seasons (1, 3, 4, 6 & 8).
Herb: Even though he appeared more when together with Judith, he was still pretty underused.
Melissa: Loved her! She was so adorable.

Frankie and Myra. They were interesting, and funny (Myra more). I think that they would both be a good match for Alan.
I am not sure how a long term Charlie/Chelsea relationship would have fit in the show, but it wound have definitely been better than Charlie going after Rose (can you imagine an outrage if a female character were to fall in love with the guy who kept harassing her for years and even kept her drugged for weeks in order to "spend time with her", among other things) and everything starting from season nine. I think that Chelsea is the only one of Charlie's girlfriend that I've liked. She and Lisa, Lisa should have been in more episodes too.

I never got why people hated Chelsea so much. She was kinda poorly written in her first few episodes, but after that she became a likable and sympathetic character. Truly underrated.

She ruined Charlie in Season 7. That's why.

As for underused characters, I'd say Jerome, Teddy and Lydia. And Evelyn in season 10, she appeared only once there lol.

Gordon.

I thought like millions of others the series finale was garbage but in my version one of the things that ties up was Gordon ending up with a very hot rich woman himself.

Also one other character that Charlie used in Anger Management and was exceptionally funny was WILL SASSO. He was hilarious as the sound man when Mia was showing what a terrible singer she is.

Just thought of another pal of Charlie who appeared way too little. Russell. I *beep* love that guy! :)

The most underused character of all time is Alan and Judith's illegitimate daughter who mysteriously vanished shortly after Charlie left the show.

Myra, Herb's sister. She was fun.

Bidget, I enjoyed her character's arch and it would have been nice to see her a little more.

would've preferred more robert wagner's character and much less chelsea and candi

Not sure who I would consider the most underused but in my opinion John Cryer (Alan) was way overused, about 12 seasons worth. I have all of the seasons on DVD and watch them quite often but I find myself fast forwarding whenever possible to get past Alan and his stupidity. I do understand it is only a TV show but his acting or lacking thereof really grates on my nerves.

I agree with hoosier. Mostly about how pitiful Alan can be. I have never met such a goofy goon as Alan and I surely hope to never meet one like that.

I know he bags some of the hottest flesh on the show but I doubt that would really be the case unless he packed some rather astounding pee-pee...he doesn't. Seeing him in his tighty whiteys makes my skin crawl. He is a disgusting, disgusting little man. Creepy. Nasty. Got thrown out of a movie for jerking off in his seat...all the little kids saw him...the moms saw him...disgusting little pervert.

That is all.

I liked Alan on the show when Charlie was on it, but I think he got too many plots centered around him in season 8. Charlie was almost shoved to the side, which is even if he wasn't fired, 8 should have been the last season no matter what.

LYDIA from 4x06 - Apologies for the Frivolity

She had quite a peculiar personality would have liked to see more of her.

More Myra
Less Chelsea

Herb was funny

Def Herb. I know Ryan isn't a big enough name but if Herb got promoted to regular when Charlie was fired, and the show became Jake, Alan, Herb that would have been comedy gold. No offense Ashton, love you as Kelso hated Walden.

Also the more Evelyn the better. She was my favorite character
