Kurt and Key West?

Isn't this the same Kurt from tonight's episode that was in Episode 6, season 60 when he was "from Indianapolis" with Dani and their little white dog looking for a vacation bungalow in Key West? Only this time he has a different wife, less hair and kids? Or am i hallucinating? Are they recycling people now on House Hunters? What are they chances of having two Kurts that look the same, only older....?
Did anybody else notice this?

I'm watching it now and did a double-take too - feels like I know this guy Kurt from more than just an earlier episode, but maybe his face is just memorable. Actually they introduced this woman as his girlfriend, so I guess he got divorced/separated.

It is funny to see a familiar face, when it's not a "where are they now" episode. Whew, this guy's got the bucks; $3 million for a second vacation home? Talk about the 1%.

reply

Did they say what this guy does for a living? I didn't see the entire episode. Still wondering why I know that face so well.

reply

It said the Kurt from last night's episode was from Telluride, CO, I believe, but the Kurt from the previous season was from Indianapolis. I know he had set up an office in the Key West home they had purchased, but not sure what he did. In fact about a year after that episode aired, my husband and I were in Key West and saw the couple walk into Sloppy Joe's -- she walked in alone first (Dani) and was talking to the manager as if she knew him, and then Kurt walked in a bit later.

reply

Wow, what are the chances? Small world.

reply

I know!!! We were like, wait a minute, isn't that the couple from House Hunters...???

reply

Did you speak with them? I'd be pretty dumbfounded myself. (Would be fun to grill someone about their experience, tho I guess if he planned to appear again he'd have to be careful about what info he spills.)

reply

No, we didn't speak to them. I'm wondering if this is the same Kurt I saw in last night's episode... anybody out there have a clue? I can't find video of the episode with Kurt and Dani to compare faces....

reply

Oh, so this current episode may not star a "repeater" after all? Well he sure looks familiar to me! Could be from somewhere else besides this show, of course.

reply

No, something tells me this IS the same Kurt. I mean, what are the chances a guy named Kurt and spelled the same way shows up on two episodes dealing with Key West??? Could it be that we are remembering him from another show?

reply

I know the episodes have titles ... I didn't write that one down, but maybe IMDb lists the "cast" for it and we could find him that way.

reply

If you Google "House Hunters Key West Kurt and Dani" this will come up for that first episode of "the Kurt sighting".

Whattaya know; I tracked that link to the IMDb page for that episode, and it says the episode's from 2012. I had thought it was new. Darn, it doesn't give their last names so I can't see if he's been on it before. The mystery continues!

reply

Wow, 2012? I knew it was an old episode, but I didn't think it was THAT old. I'd seen it repeated at least 3 times since it originally aired, and that's probably why I recognized Kurt's face in last night's episode. The mystery DOES continue!!!

reply

Oh no ... does this mean I DIDN'T see this guy on a previous episode or elsewhere, I just watched him twice in the same ep?? What a waste this thread has been then - HA!

reply

noooooo. There are a total of THREE episodes he has been in! One in 2012 with Dani and Key West, one in Telluride, CO with his kids, and the new one in Key West with this new woman in his life. This isn't a wasted thread. A lot of detective work went into this!! 😀

reply

Three?? I had thought we were talking about a possible two. Well no wonder I recognized the guy!

reply

I know! I just thought we recognized him from the previous Key West episode, not knowing I had seen him on an episode with his kids.... Weird!

reply

And his face looks so familiar to me, I'm thinking I may have seen him playing a character on a favorite weekly TV show! (Actually I am kind of wondering if he could be an actor ... if he's a successful one, it might explain how he affords all these homes.)

reply

If you Google his first and last name, you will see that he is into racing cars, so you might have seen him on TV at another time.

reply

What's his last name? I didn't realize we had access to that. Sorry, maybe I missed that detail in your posts (that's why I went to the IMDb page, to find his name, but no luck).

reply

I posted the article a few posts back that have his first and last name -- I guess you didn't see it, but that's what I've been referring to... link below...

Well, LOL, he probably needed 4-5 years to move to Key West, have marital troubles, get a divorce and find a new girlfriend! 

I right away noticed him from the show he did w/ his family (sons and one daughter) getting a house in Telluride. There was a "Where Are They Now?" show done as well. I actually just watched a clip. I have not seen the other show you are all speaking about and I am shocked House Hunters would have a guy on that many times but... I guess he's the combined series Where's Waldo? Ha! I loved the Telluride home - one of my all-time faves - some of the decorating finishes I would have done differently but not complainin' at that price or view. Gorgeous, Colorado. If anyone knows the episode, season of other show I'm curious now would like to see for kicks... thanks!

reply

Is that the one he was on? Oh yes, I remember that show. Those huge Telluride homes, and his (grown?) kids helping to choose. Memorable.

reply

Yes, at least three times. Once in Key West with a blonde and a small white dog, again years later in Telluride with his kids, and third time in Key West with yet another blonde who had to be in her 60s and dressed like Cyndi Lauper...

reply

Lol! ;)

I guess he has a "type"? 

reply

Apparently, only the second blonde had a kid, no little white dog!
