Will they ever stop eating ... ?

At 25 mn it becomes obvious this isn't a good movie (they don't stop eating).

First, every dialogue line sounds phony, then never someone "act", rise his voice, laugh, scream, weep, or interact. Graphically, it's all derived from TV series. I'm feeling like watching an average TV series, or maybe an average manga, dull, and insipid.

Permanent pretentious overwrought score, even Brahms was require. Lazy dialogues, dull characters.

The overall "coolness" is supposed to hide force and determination, which never burst out.

Cops eating ice is just... hilarious, the scene in the prison when someone is crying about his father is useless, ridiculous.

Harmonica playing after the killing scene is the worst idea ever....

It isn't a good movie to you. You are in the minority.

I LOVE Asian food and loved the eating scenes. Made me hungry!

I'm curious if you speak the language spoken in the movie or did you see it dubbed or subtitled? That could explain your issues with the dialog. I saw it subtitled in English and I thought it was fine as was the score IMHO.

???? I assume you're taking about Wong eating a popsicle. How is that hilarious? I know lots of people that enjoy the occasional frozen desert.

I think that's called character development.

Yeah, that was a bit contrived but it definitely didn't negatively impact the movie overall.

You know in Hong Kong, a sit-down with a side of coffee normally means a visit with the ICAC (anti-corruption). Hence, the issue with the eating in the movie.
