Ok. i know this must be a very popular topic, but who are you'e fav characters? i like Talim the best beacause she's swift, fast, can make awesome double-hits && is just hands-down awesome. Taki is also good too, she's fast, strikes quickly && dosen't hesitate that much. I'll have to saw kilik & necrid just have drop-dead annoying moves that mostly misses.

5) Voldo-- Grudgingly, he made my top 5. I can't say I really like him because he terrifies me, but it's undeniable that he's a fascinating character. He's very skilled with his weapons and his snake-like moves are just the thing to catch someone off guard. Plus his wavy dance that he does just freaks people out.
4) Ivy-- I don't really know who couldn't love Ivy (except my dad, who predictably disapproves of her scandalous purple outfit). Her voice is entertaining and in the right hands her sword-chain thing can be a deadly weapon. Plus she's a Brit with white hair.
3) Raphael-- Dashing outfits and even more dashing moves. His voice actor is awesome and yes, he's a hottie, although I don't usually go for blondes (no offense, anybody). Very interesting backstory as well.
2) Nightmare-- it's almost impossible to get past the barrier of Soul Edge and he can swing that thing around with no much power like nobody's business. Plus... and I have to say it... he's hot. Poor possessed Siegfried.
1) Talim-- she's just so cute! And I love her outfit and her arm-claw things. (God, what are those things called??) But it annoys me when she's like, "Wind, guide me!" Very cliche.
I realize that pretty much no one else commented on why their favorites were their favorites but I couldn't resist. Feedback or justification, anyone?
1. Link -- Old school gamer, huge Zelda fan. What'd you expect?
2. Nightmare -- arguably my best character, I dare say, I'm borderline invincible with him--especially against most of my human opponents.
3. Taki -- favorite female character. Like the speed.
4. Astaroth -- Don't know why I prefer this lumbering ox. Probably because the the immense power he yields.
5. Mitsurugi -- He's just cool. That's all.
Other favs: Seung Mina, Yunsung, & Cervantes. For as much as I love Yoshimitsu in Tekken, I sucked with him quite badly here.
Least favorites:
1. Maxi -- Laaaaaaame. I once nearly defeated my friend by simply tapping the A button over and over and doing nothing else. Really. He's that cheap a character.
2. Talim -- annoying.
3. Cassandra -- pointless.
4. That doppleganger character whose name escapes me at the moment... Was just a piece of the Soul Edge... nuts.
5. Raphael -- obnoxious.
Best head-to-head fight: Nightmare vs. Kilik.

I believe the doppleganger's name was Charade. I dont think anyone can like him for anything but his appearance, consisering he "charaded" other chars fighting styles.

I have both PS2 and GC versions and the GC version is better hands down.
Here is my ideal vs team battle line-up:
1: Maxi
Maxi is my fave because he is fast and can perform huge combos, but he does get erratic sometimes. I consider him the leader of my team and he is usually my second from last.
2: Link
Link is the vice-leader of my team, not because I'm a fan of LOZ, but because I like his fighting style. He is excellent at claiming ringouts, but he doesn't have many combos and is fairly slow. For this reason, usually my last character.
3: Assassin
Assassin is the 2nd vice-leader as he is both strong and quick, with memorable attacks and well balanced skills. He is often at the front of my team because I fight very well as him, and can usually beat the first two opponents with him at least.
The rest in no particular order -
4: Seung Mina
5: Nigtmare
6: Taki
7: Sophitia
8: Yunsung
I also sometimes use Yoshimitsu and Mitsurugi as subs.
1.Yunsung: I like his weapon and his style. I always open a battle wiith "the twangy move."
2 Mitsurugi: I have a soft spot in my heart for samurai
3. Cassandra: I am not sure why i like her, but for some reason, i am almost invincible with her
4. Lizardman: His grabs make him really, really strong. He's just a little on the slow side
5. Voldo: He is scary and unpredictable. I think before he even attacks he throws of his opponent with his frightening Michael Jackson moves.

1. Cervantes: In a word - formidable.
2. Raphael: Quick attacks and humorous.
3. Nightmare: Very powerful moves and good reach.
4. Astaroth: Great weapons and knocks others flying!
5. Mitsurugi: He's a samurai...need I say more?
5. Voldo: Being Italian, I must be a bit patriotic.
4. Yoshimitsu: I like him 50X more in Calibur than in Tekken and for good reason. He is just too amazing in Calibur.
3. Necrid: Loved this guy since day one. Probably the most hated character ever.
2. Nightmare (aka the Mare): My first truly good character, and my first mastered character.
1. Siegfried (aka the Fried): Quite simply my best character ever, one of the best looking, powerful, and has (imo) the coolest weapon you can have.
Worst:
5. Kilik: Meh, don't really hate him, just don't like him either.
4. Xianghua: God. Just kidding is bloody annoying, plus she is weak as hell. Fast attacker though.
3. Cassandra: Ya I like her looks (who wouldn't?), but... HOW DARE YOU TRY TO STEAL THE THUNDER AWAY FROM YOUR SISTER!!! IF YOU DIDN"T EXIST. SHE WOULD STILL BE THE BEST AND MOST POPULAR GREEK. BUT NO YOU HAD TO COME ALONG!!!! (sorry).
2. Ivy: Most overrated character ever in Video games (IMO). SHe ahs a good moveset, but she is slow, less powerful than people imagine, and I hate the dominatrix thing that she has going on.
1. Raphael: um... can you say homosexual? Can you say biggest cheese in the history of videogames (that is not an opinion that is a fact. I'll debate you forever on this if you disagree)? Nothing I hate more than a Raph player who thinks hes good by cheesing me the entire match.
1. Taki - She is so fast, and she has just enough power to take out strong characters. Plus i never lose with her
2. Mitsurugi - I think he has the strongest attacks in the game. He can also take a whole bunch of hits and will still have enough to maul anyone
3. Cassandra - I know what you are thinking, "Get that crazy Viking out of the Top Five", but i seem to control her real well.
4. Astaroth - This guy raises tons of hell out on the battlefield. Thanatos is the gnarliest weapon.
5. Xiangua - She is quick and kinda strong, sure she makes top 5
I must say I am best at Kilik, somehow I just can't get the other ones down straight.

2. Cassandra: although Sophitia looks better, Cassandra's the TOUGHEST character to beat with her Valkerie weapon (let the computer play itself if you don't believe me)
3. Mitsurugi: awesome.
4. Cervantes: now here's a guy who can trash-talk.
5. Sophitia: an average fighter, but a greek goodess.
