Don't worry pal, when they want to feed you that *beep* that violent video games lead to violent actions, don't buy it for a second, that's just a way to blame something easy in order to avoid facing the more troublesome truths.
Violence in entertainment is sane and even terapeutic, what triggers a man to go postal and waste 30 people is not a video game,is the phoney fake society that some are trying to sell us.
As Bart Simpsons said to Lisa while laughing at Itchy and Scratchy
"if someday i stop loving violence, shoot me".

looool Postal Dude has no idea what he is talking about

ima start by saying Voilent games dont cause voilence

Some of my favourite game are voilent (Half Life 2, Max Payne 2, Unreal Tournament and variations). Voilence is entertainment because it supplies conflict and drama (the basis of life) in the most pure form and therefore can be exciting. However playing a voilent character you are aware of its motivations hence providing the drama. Whats postal characters motivation? anarchy...bs you dont take anarchy out on Single Mothers and the weak that the whole point, you trying to reduce every1 to the same level.

Postal Dude, and tunnel visioned individuals like him, think that playing a immoral or grotesque game that portrays the downfall of societies humane and social structure are somehow rebelious and creating 'art'...please...i totally agree the Hoi Polloi want to run away from more troublesome confronting truths, and what are you doing? Your above this buy playing a game that comforts the easiest possible feeling to feel: hate?

You are no different to the conformist masses by succumbing to your voilent desires...you think your any different to a Suburban Christian Mother Boycotting Hip Hop? haha but thanks for the laugh

You are fool of it molerat

My mind is more opend than yours will ever be, i am not gonna go over all your assumed things, like that i think that "playing a immoral or grotesque game that portrays the downfall of societies humane and social structure are somehow rebelious and creating 'art'" wow... that's a long line of baloney man.
Playing a game is no mirror or reflect of "downfall of society and social structure" ( assuming there is such thing going on , but that's a diferent point) is just a game , is entertaining and that's that.
That is just one of the words that you put in my mouths and i am not gonna go through all the rest, becuase would be annoing.

I rest my case
"Violence in entertainment is sane and even terapeutic, what triggers a man to go postal and waste 30 people is not a video game,is the phoney fake society that some are trying to sell us."

You are obiouvsly part of the phoney molerat.

Besides writing patronizing sentences like "haha but thanks for the laugh " only depicts you as a stupid kid.

No further answer after this, you are too obtuse, just this one to answer your gratuitous attack.

reply

*sigh*...a message board that requires short pithy comments is hardly the medium to get my point accross. So ima ask you "What makes Voilence, Voilent Games and Voilent movies entertainment?" so far i've given an answer and you have not examined what makes its so appealing.

Postal Dude I'm not sure what you are saying. Is it that if you depicted no graphic violence, the world would calm down and there would be less violence? Or is the violence in games a way to experience something without having to do it in real life?

"I don't live in no video game,fool."

reply

The world wouldn't calm down Big Foot.
We are the world,we are humanity and that's that. We are peaceful and savages at the same times,it's our nature, like it or die because there is no other choice.

if you put away violence from all kind of medium there would not be less violence,we wont be less violent, don't you think is rather silly to even consider that?
Humanity was waaaaay more violent when all this things didn't exist.

Video Games are violent because they reflect us, and not the other way around.

On the other issue "is the violence in games a way to experience something without having to do it in real life"

Well to a certain point, i realy don't believe that we all have this urge to kill that has to be fed in some manner or we explode or something, but i believe it would be accurate to say that if sometimes you feel somekind of frustration, some kind of rage that needs to be liberate, well games like Postal 2 can very well work as catarsis for this feelings.

Works for me allright, and i am the less violent person u would ever meet.

P.S.:is the signature related to this topic? if so , i don't understand it.

Incredibly Voilent is justifiable
Incredibly Primitive...you'd be pushing it but there are examples
Incredibly Stupid is not
Incredibly Shallow is not

...dumbass... Your over analyzing it's a video game. It gives you an opportunity to do something you would (hopefully) never do in real life.
