Sequel Premiere Questions

ok, so maybe this is kind of a "duh" question for all you wise grasshoppers out there, but when are movie premiere's? in relation to the release date for the rest of us little people that is? is it the same day? days before? weeks before? months? me and my compadres are planning on crashing the potc 2 premiere at disneyland, now that we are on the bandwagon, and want to know when, generally, it will be? can anyone help me out here?
