supposedly the girl got on her own two feet not long after Bush ordered Afghnistan to be invaded and was able to get away from that disgusting old man and escape. This movie did not have the ending I expected and I thought the girl would simply run away and go back to her mother and grandmother

Unfortunately, the reality here in Afghanistan is that women still have very limited rights. Most I see are still wearing the burka, but it's more of a personal choice than federally mandated.

Or just as likely she would have been killed in the conflict,
or she would have by then become so dependent on the decrepit pervert that she would have no desire or will left to escape.
Your last statement should have read, woman, children and non-Taliban males have no rights !
It was painfully obvious the young boys didn't have any say whether they were to become Taliban or not.

Yeah, well at least they could walk outside alone, earn money and not have to wear that ridiculous thing on them. Be fair, the women have absolutely no rigths, but the men have a few. I hate when people gloss over those facts.

This is similar to what happened in Iran after the conflict THERE in the 80s... People become dependent on a forced lifestyle and change is difficult, even when it is for the better.

Women probably wear it not by choice, but because their husbands still enforce it to some extent in the home. Then there are those who actually BELIEVE the *beep* religious crap the taliban *beep* sold them and fear what "GOD" will do to them.

These Taliban and any like them deserve to be shot. *beep* human rights and all that *beep* These are ANIMALS that do not deserve to live, using their small minds and smaller penises to dominate, because the truth is every one of these men is sexually inadequite and needs to be in control in some other way, because who would want someone so disgusting add to that the fact that at his age without Viagra he probably has no stamina left.

Through history in abusive relationships and believe me I know I was in one, Guys with nothing downstairs, and even less upstairs turn out to be abusers.

Men is a term I don't even like using. Sorry but anyone who tries to control a group and force their own beliefs on another should be destroyed. Dead.

We are such PUSSIES as humans, I swear.The hell with love thy neighbor, the US needed to go in there and just MURDER the cruel bastards. Once you do what they did, you forfeit your life.
