Reminscent of of Annie Hall -- for all the wrong reasons

Actually, just one reason: near the end of Annie Hall, when the two young actors are reenacting the scene between Alvy and Annie at the Sunset Blvd. cafe, only the reenactment ends quite differently than the scene did between the real Alvy and Annie:

"What do you want? It was my first play."
