The unforgiveable abuse that angelic little boy had to endure for or because of her really pushes her out of the whole 'oh, shes just a troubled unluckly young lady' band-wagon. She deserves everything she gets.

A heartbreaking scene for me is at the police station when the cop tickles young Jerimiah and he laughs, i think its the only time hes happy and feels safe in the whole film or 4 years the film covered. Then his horrified face when she picks him up say it all

Or near the end in the car when she scares him by making him think hes poisoned and won't give him the antidote.
