Victor Frankenstein director calls Shelley novel "dull as dishwater"

And you wonder why I don't like this guy or his movie...

Why does Fox keep hiring people who hate the source material? The guy who directed the new Fantastic four hated the original Fantastic Four and said the comics were outdated and no one liked them anymore and now Victor Frankenstein's director (who I could tell had no respect for the novel) said that Mary Shelley's novel was as "dull as dishwater." And both movies bombed.

In fact, Victor Frankenstein only has 29% on Rotten Tomatoes and I have to admit I think it would be lower if not for fan love of Daniel Radcliffe and name recognition.

I, Frankenstein at least used the novel for character backstory purposes and was not made by people who insulted the source material. Not to mention I Frankenstein kept to the fact that the creature was intelligent and articulate, and at least in flashbacks gave him the look from the novel. But I digress...

Why does Fox keep hiring people to make films of source material these film makers hate? They keep bombing. If the director hates the source material... hire someone else.

Did you report the thread I started?

Just now saw this as I have made a conscious effort of avoiding your bullsh-t. I never report your threads. You offend me greatly and crossed a line in accusing me of hating other women simply because I do not like Syfy's Van Helsing and couple that attempted public shaming with trying to impress me with an idiot's rant about why a woman couldn't possibly have written Frankenstein... Frankly you make me sick.

Shorter answer: No. You are beneath me.
