I Never Really Was a Punk Fan Before But this Movie is OUTSTANDING!!!

This is one of the best if not the best documentary on any Rock band ever!

I walked away from this movie with a whole new appreciation for the Ramones and have now become a fan of them.

That is how good this movie is.

By the end of this movie your heart aches for Joey as well as Dee Dee.

I rated it a 10!

You mirrored my thoughts and feelings, the exception being I did like some Punk, but was not familiar with the specifics of "The Ramones".

No question. The best Rock and Roll documentary ever. I've watched it three times in the last WEEK!!

I'm in total agreement!

I have been a Ramones fan for a long time, but this documentary just made me appreciate them so much more, great stuff.

I have not seen "End of the Century" yet but am looking forward to it.

You guys should check out "The Filth and the Fury". I always enjoyed some punk, especially The Clash, The Replacements, and Sonic Youth, but I never "got" the Sex Pistols before I saw this film.

I was 12 in 1976. I had no idea what the social and political climate of Britain was at the time. After seeing this film I understand. The Sex Pistols were kinda like the perfect rock and roll storm.

Watch it and you'll see. It really is a must see for ALL rock and roll fans. Even if you don't care for punk.

I watched this after Filth and fury and the interesting thing is that this film actually really puts some blame to the sex pistols for smearing the name of punk in the US before the Ramones could ever get a chance for radio airplay and wide commercial success. The ramones having a hand in influencing the sex pistols is debatable yet ironically the sex pistols hampered the Ramone's success in their own country.

I don't always post on IMDB.com, but when I do I make sure I'm hammered.

Totally agree!

I watch a lot of films and have seen more music docs than most people,
but THIS was different, honestly.

It had a rawness, honesty and even intimacy to it that I've never seen before
when it comes to a major band.

Usually the filmmakers only do the hero worshipping and forget about the dirty sides and daily struggles of the biz, but not this one!

And the doc did give'em credit for what these people achieved...against all odds.

I've been a small fan of the "Ramones" before and liked their music,
but this film really informed me how great they were as a people and band.

It's not so much the filmmaking, which was decent, but it's simply a great story with great and complex characters.

I totally get that Martin Scorsese is interested in making a major film
about "The Ramones" now:

It bet he saw this documentary.

This is better than most Oscar-winning screenplays.
