The official website for the French comic book adaptation of Lucky Luke (titled "The Daltons" in this country) is now online. A QuickTime version of the teaser trailer can also be downloaded here--www.lesdalton-lefilm.com.

Til Schweiger stars as comboy Lucky Luke in the comedy-western. Philippe Haim's $25 million film is based on the comics of Belgian and French comic scribes Morris (also known as Maurice De Bevere) and Rene Goscinny (better known for the Asterix cartoon books), who use real-life and fictional Wild West characters like Calamity Jane and Billy the Kid in their stories of do-gooder Lucky Luke.

Written by Michel Hazanavicius, the movie features the Dalton brothers, loosely based on the real-life Dalton Gang.

This looks close to the comics, and also looks like it was done with love, and detail... so now I am expecting a good movie. I've been sort of sceptical before, but so far it's alright... Thank goodness...
