Wouldn't a live action version be interesting to watch?

Just asking, I know the film is perfect as it is.

My roommate and I have been talking about this for a while. I've come up with a list of actors. some are jokes and some are rl:

-Drummer: Sean Astin from 1989, Shia LaBeouf, Joe Gordon Levitt, Andy Samberg
-Guitarist: Jared Leto
-Bassist: Blake Lively
-Key Boardist: Mehcad Brooks, Leonard Roberts, usher, will.i.am
-Rescuer: Jake Gyllenhaal, James Franco, Zack Efron, Andy Samberg, Bill Hader
-Lord Darkwood: Danny McBride, Jack Black, Anthony Hopkins, Will Ferrel, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Bobby Moyniham

Maybe Daft punk could rescore with with remixes to the original songs, or just add live action with the old album. With the Will Ferrel option I was thinking about him in zoolander as mr. mugatu

not to me. it's the anime combined with the music that i enjoyed.

"Remember me, Mr. Schneider? Kenya, 1947."

It would be a disaster. Fortunately, it will only exist in some fans' heads.

I thought about that. But there's 2 problems:
1) The fact that it's anime is a huge part of its charm.
2) Since the movie has no dialogue, a live action version would either have to use the same soundtrack (which would make the whole thing pointless), or, new dialogue (which would ruin the experiment).
