I mean people complain of the same things: every movie is boring, too long, too short, has no plot, bad acting, isn't funny, is a rip off of something else, and so on. Why so much negative stuff? Please don't respond if you hate this movie or the actors in it, just reply if you like the joint.
DAMN!! i liked dat movie 2, it waz kinda funny, but the ending waz predictable, but i dont complain, i still like it!!!
ice cube did a great job, i felt sorry 4 his SUV though!
its just a kind, Christmas/New Year family movie, dat leaves a good feelin'!!
Good to see I'm not alone. For now, this is my son's favorite movie (he's five years old).

yeah it was funny ! better than i had expected, i laughed most of the film, the toilet humour was fun!
i liked it as much as jingle all the way!

shareI totally agree with you. Its a kids/family moive and i belive its a really enjoyable film with some very funny moments. Gee stop bagging it, do u honestly think kids are going to enjoy watching oscar winning movies like ray or the aviator. No thats why it gets made so everyone can enjoy!
sharetotally in agreement.the people slagging it off do seem to forget its meant to be a family film.no more,no less.i admit,these movies are not my cup of tea,i actually rented it for my mum whos been wanting to see it since she saw a trailer.i watched it while she was out and like i said,even though these films arent usually what id watch,it certainly had me smiling at parts of it,and i thought cube played the role well.its certainly a change of direction for him and it was enjoyable to watch him perform.

shareI am so tired of reading "critic" comments that can say nothing nice about a good family movie. Obviously these people have no children, nor any experience with children, and cannot appreciate a good family film. We live in a society where sex and violence sells and is the content of every film out there. There are few family films (not animated) that everyone in the family from the young to the old can enjoy. These childless movie goers rant about having to be subject to see such material...I say DON"T GO!!! It was obvious from the previews what the movie was...it has a PG rating...if you are not into family movies and you don't have any children...STAY HOME...AVOID THOSE TYPES OF MOVIES...sorry you didn't enjoy Ice Cube in this film...he does have many great movies under his belt...but you aren't going to enjoy every film from any one actor...bottom line...I swear these people go see movies they know they won't like just so they can badmouth the movie and it's actors...instead of wasting your time seeing a movie you dont like and them ranting about it...see something else!!!
My husband, children and I thoroughly appreciated and enjoyed this film...we have children around us all the time...these children weren't overacting...they were acting like children...all children have a tendancy to be a bit over dramatic...Ice Cube did a splendid job...the tender moments were tearfully tender...even my children cried...and the funny moments had you rolling on the floor...parents who see this movie will be able to relate some of the antics to their own life...if you didn't like this movie and thought the kids were awful...DON"T HAVE KIDS...I don't know where these people get their information...childless people think having kids is a piece of cake and that you can get a kid to do whatever you want...but children are not angelic unless they are sleeping...and if they have any amount of intelligence...they are always up to something...that's kids for you...the kids portrayed in this movie aren't any different. If you think kids are gonna just behave...don't have any!!!

My son is five and my daughter is ten. We enjoy movies like...
Are We There Yet, Johnson Family Vacation, Garfield, Home Alone, Christmas with the Kranks, School of Rock, all the Lindsay Lohan and Hilary Duff flicks, SpongeBob, all the Nickelodeon toons and movies (Good Burger, etc.) and Disney Channel Stuff (Kim Possible, Proud Family, Cheetah Girls, The Princess Diaries, Raven, etc.).
Both of them like The Wiz better than The Wizard of Oz, they prefer Racing Stripes to Babe, aren't interested in Harry Potter or other movies with an 'English' feel (except for Matilda, Annie, and the girl with the broom). They like all kinds of movies, but Are We There Yet and SpongeBob are my son's favorite. For some reason they don't really like Fat Albert and Daddy Day Care... ET, Gremlins, Goonies are movies I enjoyed as a child. I don't think they like them as much as I did.
Who likes this movie? Not me.

shareI love this movie. I'm 27 now and I watched this movie with my mom, sister, and brother back in 2006 I was 24 at the time and it wasn't a bad movie. Its a good family movie and I like that Ice Cube took that route and did a family movie. I'm sure he probably tired of doing gangsta movies and hood movies and wanted to try something different.

I thought the movie was cool. I missed some key parts, but I did enjoy the parts I did see. It makes me realize what a talented and multi-faceted man Ice Cube really is. I was a big fan of his music career, and for him to do a complete 360 from his music career to the big screen and play a role like this was just amazing. And man, were those kids bad! But after seeing what happened when they got to their father's house, well, I can see why now.
Anyway, "Are We There Yet" is another great film put out by CubeVision. YAY, YAY!!!
