Could a Reboot of the show ever happen?

So I've been watching some One Tree Hill episodes the last few days and it got me thinking. Could a "Next Generation" reboot type of show ever happen? I know Series Creator Mark Schwann and his behavior of sexual harassment towards many of the female cast and crew are well documented now. Would he have to surrender his rights to the show to make something like that ever happen? It feels like a reboot could eventually happen. Thoughts.
