Who are your least favourite characters?

I can't stand Alex, Mille, Rachel, Felix, Gigi, Chase, Taylor, Quinn, and even Mouth got on my nerves by the end of the show.

I'm sure I'm missing some but these are definitely my least favourites.

I really don't like Alex and Millie though, their storylines in seasons 7 and 8 were the worst for me

I hated Felix and Owen with a passion but I also thought Gigi was a pretty useless character

Quinn. She didn't necessarily bother me much but she had so much screen time, yet her character was so pointless. Same with Clay but not quite as bad. The two of them together was boring and nauseating to me!

Grubbs and Miranda-I liked his music but they should've just kept any personal storyline out of it for these two.

Felix-just bad.
Anna-even worse.

Alex-although she did provide some entertainment and humor, I didn't care for her character.

Lindsay-obviously she was only there to be a Leyton barrier but her mannerisms bothered me.

reply

I actually found Quinn and clay to be very refreshing.

reply

They just got very repetitive to me. Their stories were either outrageous (crazy Sarah look-alike and Clay's forgotten son) or they just had nothing going on and made out all the time.

I'm mostly speaking of them as a couple. As individuals I actually thought both were pretty funny, and I do enjoy Haley and Quinn's relationship. Quinn is always really supportive of Haley and her family.

Mouth - All he did was fall for girls that were out of his league then whine when they didn't feel the same. Not to mention him cheating with his best friend's girlfriend. Not cool.

Brooke - I feel like the show became too much about her and her character changed so much that it felt like Sophia was just playing herself by season 9.

Karen - Ugh, she just wasn't likeable to me. I didn't really like her treatment of Keith in Season 1 either.

Gigi - Her character change between season 4 and 6 was horrendous. And frankly by season 6 she was a waste of airtime.

Jamie - By season 7 his cuteness started wearing off and he became far too wise for his years and fell into the stereotypically annoying kid trap lots of kids on tv fall into.

reply

I see what you mean with the Brooke thing. But I think of it as they were really trying to make the show about her when it was known that Lucas and Peyton would be leaving soon. Season 6 and on, they really developed Brooke's character and basically made her the central character

reply

How did I forget Jamie?!

reply

Regarding Mouth, when he didn't want to report on Nathan being blackmailed. Why not just do an exclusive interview with him? Win-win.

Keith- kind of a creepy loser who for some reason got painted as a saint.

Peyton- I recognize her importance to the show, but was not a fan of her character or Hilarie's acting.

reply

OMG yes Keith! I wanted to put his name down on my list but I was worried I would get a lot of replies saying that I'm wrong and that he's the 'sweetest character ever'. He went after both of his brother's exes, and I wonder if he would have still been alive if he would have went after Rachel as well. There's also that picture of Dan and Karen in the time capsule; I've always found it creepy that Keith was watching them in the background. At least he was a good father figure to Lucas...

reply

OMG yes. Ketih is by far the most over rated character... both by the writers and the fans and everyone treats him like a saint...

Peyton is a horrible person also. She only liked Lucas when he was with someone else she had a nasty attitude most of the time... and I agree Hilarie was not good in the role at all.

Awww I personally loved Rachel and Taylor. But honestly I wasn't a fan of really any of the characters added after I think the fifth season? I really didn't like Gigi and Jamie because they were annoying. Wasn't a fan of Lindsey, and I kinda hate Sam. I love/hated Dan throughout the whole series. I liked Karen during the first season, but she eventually was super irritating to watch. I hated Haley during most of like the earlier seasons, but that hate did go away after awhile

reply

Karen irritated me in S4 too. She was so stupid for starting to fall for Dan again, and her siding with him over Lucas was ridiculous. And her pregnancy crisis was way over the top.

reply

I didn't like her in season 1 either. She was awful in the way she strung Keith along... of course he was also a creeper. I guess it was a fairly accurate portrayl of stuff that happens in real life.

How did she string Keith along?

reply

Yeah she didn't string Keith along at all.

I think it says a lot about how good Paul Johansson's portrayl of Dan was since he was the main "bad guy" for a lot of the series and no one has said Dan.

Personally I understood why Dan was the way he was and can forgive everything he did other than that one thing.

The most annoying character to me was Nathan and Haley's precocious brat.

I hate *cute* children saying *cute* things in *cute* ways on television.

reply

^Agreed. Except I never thought he was cute. It was more about him being on a pedestal, due to everyone else putting him on a pedestal. I understand wanting to do special things for the children you love, I have a young nephew, I get it, but goodness, every single character on this show acted like Jamie was the Second Coming or something. How can this basketball game about teenagers be made about Jamie? Jamie needs a special moment at someone else's party. Someone said no to Jamie, he needs comforted. Quinn and Clay had an argument, how will it affect Jamie? Just, ugh. The best part of Season 9 was when they shipped that brat off for a bit.
