Netflix or Amazon?
Is there a reason why neither of them stream the series? Or would there still be an issue with music rights?
shareI have frequently wondered the same thing. Or why I can't just buy the DVD. I had not considered the music issue. Is that a common problem?
shareI am not sure how comon the problem is, but I only know of three shows that had issues with music after they ended.
There's Dawson's Creek where a lot of the songs were dropped or replaced including the theme song when they went on Netflix or DVD.
Crossing Jordan still has trouble clearing rights to songs used to the point that only the first season has been released in the US.
Until recently, the Wonder Years were in the same limbo for DVD releases. They had problems with licensing fees being high or artists not letting them use their song after the fact. The box set has all but 14 or 15 songs. Downside is if you want that box set its $300
