Episodes That Made You Cry

Usually sappy TV or movies don't make me cry no matter how emotional or dramatic they may be but some reason this show (along with a good amount of episodes from Highway to Heaven) make me drop a tear or two. Maybe it's because of the character development with the flashbacks, the music and the ending montage.

The episode 'Daniela' made me cry myself to sleep. The whole episode was a downer which was coupled with really good music. The ending really blind-sided me, plus the montage at the end with the visuals with that great song.

Another episode that had me close to tears was 'Boy Crazy', the flashbacks were hard to watch, almost to a point where I said to myself while watching "I hate this show". The episode 'Fly Away' almost caused me to stop watching the series entirely, haha.

What episodes make you cry and why?

I HAVE SEVERAL EPISODES.
Wishing- Collin is so innocent, and he was dealt such a rotten hand.
Andy in C Minor- Such a loveable character, and his murder was slightly graphic.
Sleepover & One Small Step- It's hard to watch the ones with young victims. Especially sweet, smart underdogs.
A Perfect Day -gut wrenching. Ruined everybody's lives
Offender, Revenge- The Boy in the Box, Fly Away, A Time to Crime child victims. These are heart-breaking from the opening scene.
Rampage-sad story too close to reality.
The Goodbye Room- A likeable victim that never got to be with her baby.
Stalker, Saving Sammy- whole families ruined.
Ok, even though some of the victims survived,Ghost of my child, & It takes a village & Fireflies. Once again, young victims.
Into the Blue- Kate is such a strong character.
Although I don't like the episode, Thrill Kill- 3 young victims based on a real case.
Baby Blues- Just sad!
Saving Patrick Bubly- Another one where the whole family is ruined.
Shuffle Ball Change- Maurice was likeable, and so good. Classic Cain & Able story.
Several others made me cry the first time I watched, such as "That Woman, Badlands, Boy Crazy, Detention, & spiders.

You hit the nail on the head with so many of those episodes! I can't watch some of them again 'cuz I will cry my eyes out & get a headache & the sadness will linger (I know it's just a show but you know what I mean). I can't ever watch "Wishing" or "Sleepover" because I get so upset at the horrible ending those innocent children suffered. I can only watch parts of "The Boy in the Box," "Time to Crime," "Saving Patrick Bubly," "Andy in C Minor," & "Shuffle Ball Change." I bet if I went through the entire list, I'd find just a small handful of episodes that I didn't cry over!

Have only started re watching season 1 but so far
look again-As kate mara's character was finally learning to stand on her own two feet when that douchebag brother killed her and i felt bad for the younger brother also, plus kate mara is a babe always sucks she dies often in shows
gleen- it was just so tragic and how she lost her mother due to a controlling jerk, plus how her and the future step mother stuck together in the end was really touching
church going people- The brother sister relationship falling apart and then coming together in the end was very emotional, as was the father, all he wanted was a non psycho wife.

Family 8108 - And to watch it with knowledge that the whole thing continues to be swept under the rug. That was literally the only time I have seen a dramatic depiction. Also Billy's letter at the end was really moving.

And so Governor Devlin, because even the cost of freedom can be too high, I REFUSE your pardon!

I think I did on at least half myself, c-ka-1991. There were very few episodes that didn't spark some kind of emotion. Some made it difficult for me to sleep that night.

I agree sj....That's why Cold Case is one of the best & most original series of all time.

"Boy Crazy", "Shore Leave", "Glory Days" and "Daniela" made me cry. All three are heartbreaking stories of LOVE and LOVE LOST! :(

I think everyone can agree Fly Away is one of the saddest episodes. Committed was also very sad. Wishing just OMG heartbreaking. Revenge was brutal. Ravaged is probably my favourite CC episode of all time- very sad in a number of ways.

I'm not one to cry at TV shows but Committed, Fly Away, and Ravaged were probably the closest I've come.

I've cried at most of the episodes. But ones that really stood out were Perfect Day, Adam in C Minor, and the Boy in the Box.

Taking my time through this series but must admit that for a pensioner with a military and correction employment background I am not completely hardened.

I do not believe in ghosts but do wonder if there is such a thing a wandering spirit looking for some sort of closure. I suppose that is at least the premise for those who would have us believe in such things.

Seeing flashbacks of the crime and the past times with the finale usually having the deceased giving an air of gratitude as they finally get some peace usually is emotional.

If cold case set ups really exist I am sure many people ave been given a from of closure to a situation.

Some times the music has been so well chosen.

I like the female lead who has not dressed to please a potential objectifying audience and does give a sense of empathy and a need for justice.

The series though must make one think just how many people out there are hiding the secret of having killed or caused a death yet giving an air of respectability.

Rising to be a top senator seems possible even with 'everything' known about just proves that the USA is the land of opportunity, the brave and the FREE.

Do like the show.
