This is One Of my all time favorite films(spoilers)

I completely understand why anyone would hate it....

This is one of the best examples ever of A "Love it or Hate It" film....

I remember seeing this in theaters, and of course I knew A Major twist was coming like all M Night Movies....But When The first Twist came that revealed The monsters werent real...It blew me away, I didnt see that coming....

and Then at the End when its revealed The movie is actually taking place in the Present time....WOW....

IMO its an even bigger Twist than The Monsters....In fact The End Twist Is IMO one of the greatest Plot Twists ever....

I watch this movie at least once a year...

It truly is one of my favorite movies ever...

with that being said though , I do understand why people hate it, Its decisive, Its Slow and The Twists you'll either find Genius or Infuriating....

what are your thoughts either Good or Bad....?

The Village is one of my favorite movies too. The story is beautiful and the performances by all the actors are extraordinary. The cinematography is just stunning and the films score was perfect. In fact, I'm going to watch The Village right now.

I guessed the ending from near the beginning, but only because of Shyamalen's habit of doing twists in his movies.
Didn't stop my enjoyment at all though.

Glad you mentioned the cinematography and the score.

The film is shot BEAUTIFULLY by Roger Deakins. I mean, it's just absolutely gorgeous.

And James Newton Howard's score perfectly compliment the visuals.

Really, this is a very underrated film. It's a shame many people do not consider it equal to his first three studio films. I actually think it's the best movie in the entire M. Night canon.

It's an excellent film that has some philosophical underpinnings that I think a lot of people miss. Ulltimately, I think the film is about the nature of innocence and its relation to human nature.

I also just love the whole premise of the Village experiment. I would totally be down to go forge a 19th century life in the middle of nowhere, at least for a while. Eventually I'd probably be ready to return to the modern world, but it would certainly be a nice break. It seems like a simple, but rewarding, way of life.
