ok i'm confused about the end, the baby died i know but how about her she lived right. and did shane confess about raping her? why was everybody in church and what was shane talking about? i wish deborah kampmeier made the movie more clear in the end ... i'm really confused

I had hoped they would have shown more of his confession..I liked this movie because it somewhat tried to show his guilt and turmoil..though I had wished it would have been more..it was at least something and you do not often see a date rapist or rapists life or emotions or points of view.

I found it pretty clear. The baby dies, she lives, Shane confesses to the church that he raped her. And her vision of herself in the circle with the live baby surrounded by all the naked community was showing that she was a nutty from the experience of it all (not unlike the naked lady who lost her babies). It left Jessie a bit crazy in the end.
