From Blind Willie to Mississipi Fred Mcdowell

Just picked up some Blind Willie.

It occurs to me that Mississipi Fred Mcdowell owes a lot to Willie in terms of style. Both players use slide guitar exclusively and both players do sacred duets with female singers.

Another observation-Mississipi John Hurt owes a lot to Blind Blake. Both play ragtime arrangements on guitar which are not strictly blues.

In each case, Blind ------, who only recorded in the twenties and thirties, influences Mississippi -------, who mostly recorded in the sixties.

Blind Willie Johnson Wasen't the first, It would have been nice if they'd showed some of the popular musicians from the 1920's (Papa Charlie Jackson & Blind lemon jefferson for instance)
