I really wanted to like it...

But goddamn.

Okay, the first 10-20 minutes are good. They're quirky and funny. But then the goes in this odd direction and it's seldom funny or interesting after that. I felt the only interesting character was Tula, and I was pretty bored by everyone else except maybe Christopher Walken or Steve Buscemi. I didn't care what happened to any of the characters because I didn't really buy them. You can still make a crazy ass musical with some direction. I coulda made this at home. I especially disliked Mandy Moore's character, as well as the other two sisters. I also didn't understand the crazy blonde woman's deal at the card shop and then afterwards. Like I said, I tried desperately to like it, cause it seems like something I'd like, but it really disappointed. Just sloppily put together and no direction.
