I have an idea, leave classics alone. I am so sick and tired of classic films constantly being remade.

reply

i guess but i know i can do it i still think about it

no way dude *Im* going to make a live action movie if I become a director

I have to agree to say that remakes almost always suck. Howeever if you do somehow make a remake; -

Make it longer
Include more fights with superpowered agents.
Give those fights to Drake
Put Nenene in, at least as a cameo.
Mention Dokushensa too.

For the humble doily is indeed the gateway to ULTIMATE COSMIC POWER!!!

please, please, please don't. There's just so much that can be done with animation that would look way too fake if it were live action (Fire-breathing comes to mind). However, I must say that I do agree with your casting choices, especially Jude Law.

in my opinion this does not need a strait up remake instead I think what would be best is to make a series of films based on Read or Die and R.O.D the tv but not direct remakes think along the lines of the X-men or Spider man films where they take story elements from the comic books but kind of mix them into something new you know what I mean? anyway if I become a director I would make maybe 3 or 4(depending on how the series progresses) films, but its a bit of a long shot me becoming a director but I would still love to see films made based on the Read or Die universe

Hi, I agree with thecalhouns 'cause a live action series would be greater than a movie...
Yes u should pick up good actors but don't dream... lol
There are plenty of good actors without an opportunity, give it to them...
But that's just my opinion..
Best regards..

I have thought of Jon Favearu and Martin Campbell as directors for a live action Read or Die film.

my main pick would be....me of course!

but outside of that I would say either Guillermo del Toro (Hellboy has always somewhat reminded me of Read or Die) or even....Steven Spielberg (hey I can dream can't I?)

even all these years later I still want to be a filmmaker and I still want to make live action Read or Die movies, I think the series has serious potential for live action treatment, more so than most anime, I mean it's sort of like a cross between Indiana Jones and James Bond, what studio exec wouldn't salivate at that idea? plus the paper powers would be a cool special effect (this time the paper could have words on it!)

and as far as some of the surreal elements of R.O.D goes, well if audiences can accept superheroes then they should be able to accept the more crazy aspects of R.O.D
