Good movie, but rip-off of Memento

Don't believe me?? Look at the poster for it. The film in the photo look similar to Memento's poster. Not degrading the movie since it was good. It's just a variation of a different film.

Dude, if you thought November was a rip-off of Memento, either you didn't get Memento, or (more likely) you didn't get November AT ALL. That the posters seem similar to you is hardly proof that they're different variations of the same concept. Hell, it's not even the same theme.

Other than the fact that the way the film is presented it keeps you guessing until the final scene (where everything falls into place and *finally* makes sense), these two movies have nothing in common.

Okay, so not a rip off of Momento, but definitely a ripoff of Jacob's ladder, Mulholland Drive, the Others, the Sixth Sense, and the plethora of other movies dealing with people not accepting death. . .

In this world you must be oh so smart or oh so pleasant. For years I was smart.I recommend pleasant.

I fail to see why anyone think this movie is anything like "Memento"
Please explain.
If anything I would say it's resembles Jacob's Ladder more than anything else.

Memento and November are both psychological thrillers, but there are HUGE differences. Memento is told backward, about a person with a mental problem, a revenge movie, etc. I guess the reason people think it is similar is because they show some scenes more than once, you make connections with different things, and they both have themes of not accepting death. They are both terrificially well done and keep you guessing, with major plot twists.

hey owlesun, nice to see you again.

of course we disagree - but only in semantics this time, as I wouldn't call it a "rip-off" of those others, just the latest in a long list on the same theme.

Actually, the "latest" would be Stay, which I think is my favourite among this genre. Jacob's Ladder probably comes in second for me. November was fine, but I didn't like it quite as much as the other two. In fact, I'd say there's a touch of Run Lola Run in it too.
