I actually really enjoyed Hannibal Rising.

I enjoyed this film quite a lot. In fact it took a number of years for me to discover others don't generally like it. Id rate it a solid 8/10

I thought it was fine....better than I expected. And it looked beautiful.

Everyone raves about the other films in the series, but HANNIBAL is certainly worse than this, the RED DRAGON remake is no great shakes, and even the original RED DRAGON / MANHUNTER isn't a film I've ever felt compelled to watch again.

It's really THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS that's the whole thing.

I mean, nothing fantastic happens in HANNIBAL RISING, but it's all perfectly acceptable.

EDIT: I did wonder why Hannibal couldn't go back and claim his family's castle...though maybe he never even wanted to in the first place.

Agreed. People who hate it are just fanboys of SOTL, and imo, they are stuck on stupid to not appreciate this gem.
