Okay, I have seen like, 3 different dvd covers for this. The one I bought looks like this:

The subtitles on this one are not very good and I was wondering if any of the other ones have better subtitles

are they making an american one?

Yeah, they are making an american remake.
I guess the original movie will be released in america when the remake is in theatres or something.
You can also import the european DVD i guess. I have the dutch version and the subtitles are fine. No extra's on the DVD though.

NO THEY AREN'T MAKING A REMAKE OF THIS ONE.
They've said this, too. The Grudge 2 won't be a remake of Ju-On 2 at all. It's going to be totally different, says Shimizu and Raimi. So, I hope you don't expect the movies to be the same. They are hoping to branch off~
