I'd be so grateful if someone could help. I dunno whether to buy Ju-on and Ju-on 2.

I have Ju-on: The Grudge 1 & 2 and both American versions of The Grudge.

I'm confused as I've read some of the comments on this message board and on one hand I see that Ju-on 1 & 2 are Prequels to Ju-on: The Grudge, in other words, set before Ju-on: The Grudge & the other hand I went on wikipedia and it tells me that Ju-on: The Grudge 1 & 2 are remakes of Ju-on 1 & 2.

Therefore for myself, I don't know whether to buy Ju-on 1 & 2 because I feel its the exact same films as Jo-on: The Grudge 1 & 2, in other words I don't want to end up with another copy of 2 films I already have which are Ju-on: The Grudge 1 & 2.

Ju-On 1 was a film made for television. Ju-On 2 was made with a bigger budget and uses a lot of footage from Ju-On 1. Honestly I can garentee you will not be buying the same film; however, I can also say that you will be buying two more movies that have thes same theme and plot of Ju-On: The Grudge 1 & 2 and Grudge 1 & 2. Becuase i'm sure you've seen how The Grude 1 & 2 were basically Ju-On 1: The Grude; however, the plot line for Ju-On 1: The Curse is also added into the Grudge. You get what i'm saying? It's a whole twisted mess but i'd say get them if you're a collector.
