Serious Snoozer

Holy Cow this movie was like visual Sominex.
It was like they decided to parody the original instead of continuing the series. They took something that started out as being legitimately terrifying it and abused it to the point of making it a joke.
The effects were worse, the story even more incoherent, and there wasn't a single thing in here that we haven't seen a dozen times already.
The Toshio kid looks like he's starting to sprout pubic hair already, Kayoko just makes a bunch of stupid faces for "fear" effect, and the whole "filming a movie in the haunted house" ploy is straight out of the 1950s (to say nothing of the "demon seed" ploy).
I can't believe there aren't more flaming pans of this pile. I'd think that fans of the original film would be the most ardent haters of this sequel.
I thought Ringu 2 was a bastardization of Ringu, but that was because it took that series to rediculous heights of stupidity. This sequel is a bastardization because it's so utterly boring and derivative.

Rent the first one instead and stop complaining like those damn John Woo followers. Have some respect. I think there are people who like this film so leave them be.

I actually liked Ju-on2:The Grudge better than Ju-on:The Grudge. I thought there were some scarier scenes in it.
I don't know what it was but the first one I just wasn't scared by at all.

I think I liked the first one better. This one did have some scary parts though.

I think this was one of the rare cases where a sequel was better than the original. This is actually my favorite of the four Ju-on films. Though I love all of them.
