worst night of my life

i'm probably the only person who felt like this seeing as i've been going through the boards but I had the most dreadful night of my life last night, after seeing this movie. I love horror movies, the ones were i sat and had the *beep* scared out of me but didn't leave me hiding under covers when i go home. So here i was thinking, the Americans have made another remake, yay!!! i can sit and laugh for 1h30mins, imagine my surprise when i realise i've gone in to see the sequel to the japanese one. I've seen the Japanese originals of the American remakes such as Dark water, The Ring but i'd never seen the Grudge before so i was pretty freaked out to be seeing it as the American remake of 1st actually scared me a bit. So, i watch it and it takes me ages to start feeling afraid, to be honest i don't think i was that much, up until Megumi's chapter i was fine. After Megumi's chapter i was absolutely terrified so when i'm on my way home after watching the movie every shadow and every noise that reminded me of the film made me jump. When i get home I wasn't able to even go into my kitchen i was that afraid, the door was closed and i didn't want to open it. I go to the bath room and when i left it, i must have left a window open in the kitchen or something because the kitchen door and the door opposite started banging slightly...freaky. I get to my bed and everything gets better, then as soon as i lay my head down, i have horrible images of Kayato crawling up on to my bed and other bad ideas so i basically sat up all night because as soon as i shut my eyes, nastiness occurred.
So anyway, that's an acount from a boed person about how scared they were after watching this movie, i think it's safe to say i'll stick to non-Japanese horror from now on.

This Movie Scared Me For Life!

I suffered exactly the same, but after seeing Ju-On 1. Luckily, it only lasted a week.

Frankly it's ALL rubbish. The only one I liked was Ju-On The Curse. FUnny how Shimizu keeps getting work...

The TV movie one was genius. This was good. Ju-On:The Grudge 1 was ok, and Ju-On: The Curse 2 was God-Awful.

yeah what was up with that?

Kyoko looked like she was no where near the stair case before she was pushed off.

Yep this is one hellva horror movie. It's even better when you're completed baked. I recommend trying this, horror factor x3.

After me and the ex watched this, she was scared sh#tless! So being the nice, supportitive BF I was (am), that night I waited until she was almost asleep then started making really convincing croaking noises. She almost had a heart attack and smashed me in the face! Haha.

Ju-On the grudge 1 scared me more, the Hollywood remake scared the life out of me first time I saw it, I wouldn't watch the Grudge 2 for the longest time since the first terrified me so one day I went out shopping and I'd heard J-Horror is worse than American horror, when I saw Ju-On The Grudge 1&2 pretty cheap I decided to buy them, man the first time I saw the first one I was even scared to go the DVD player and turn it off lol. After watching both I decided to buy both remakes and watch, luckily they didn't scare me but I still don't like looking at none of the display cases and I turn the volume down when she makes her death rattle, I hate that noise!

I can scare the sh!t out of my mom by making the croaking noise. Once I put my long black hair all in my face and crawled across the floor to her, it really scared the hell out of her!

lol that's awesome. If you want an even scarier Japanese horror film, I recommend Noroi, one of the best. Definitely don't avoid Japanese horror! If it scared you, it succeeded in what horror films are meant to do.
