I Seriously have like a thousand questions

Ijust saw the second jap grudge and i didn't understand sh*t if you don't mind my saying!Seriously the dude that made the movie must have had some kind of flue, cause the movie's really messed up!

1)What the whole purpose of the woman being pregnant? To give birth to Kayoko,so Kayoko can terrorize the real world without people having to go to the house in order to get killed?

2)Why Did Kyoko's mother die?I don't recall her entering the house!

3)What about the girl that audiotioned for the extra's role and kept screamin and goin back and forth to the house until she died?

4)They say there re four ju-oh movies out there. Why does imdb lists only two and a third in production?

reply

I can only answer two of these questions. I think the second pregnancy is Kayako. She loses the first child in the car accident. That's why her sister-in-law keeps apologizing to her, and that's why she's so shocked when her doctor tells her she's still pregnant and shows her the ultrasound. There are also 4 Ju-On films. The first two are just called Ju-On and Ju-On:2. The last ones are Ju-On: The Grudge and Ju-On: The Grudge 2. I'm still hoping to see Ju-On. The others are pretty good. This one is by far my least favorite of the series. I hope The Grudge 3 is better. If not, it seems this series may be running out of steam.

Ju-on and Ju-on 2 (not Ju-on: The Grudge/Grudge 2) are Ju-on: The Curse 1 and 2.

1) before kyoko had a car accident she entered the grudge house and right after the accident kayako takes advantage of kyoko pregnancy (in order to keep the curse going a curse dies and is reborn)

2) any1 who is close to the victims that entered the house usually dies too such as matashi and nori

3) that girl is chiharu and from ju-on the grudge she felt an uneasy feeling from izumi so she dies but before that kayako has the ability to switch times and places she was already bound to be dead yet the actual reason is unknown maybe she entered the house by herself

4) there are only 2 movies (ju-on the grudge and ju-on the grudge 2) the other ones (ju-on the curse 1 and 2) tv series and since they were popular they decided to make a movie and it was sucessful

reply

Just to anwer a question about the four movies to be best of my ability.

Ju-on
Ju-on 2 (which is just a continuation and probably should have been tacked on to the first one)
They were made for TV movies that got really high ratings so the director decided to do theatrical versions of them. Also called....

Ju-on and
Ju-on 2

The only reason the made for TV versions are known as Ju-on: the Curse and Ju-on2:The Curse (as well as Ju-on:The Grudge and Ju-on2:The Grudge) is to have a way to distinguish between the two sets of sequels. The third one is comming out, but I"m not really sure when. Hopefully it's good.

ANd just an FYI, the way they got the names The Curse and The Gruse is because the first character in Ju-on (The "Ju") is the character for chrse and the second on (on) is the character for grudge.

if you've studied the japanese language you should know that in the phrase Juon, Ju means a curse and On mean Hatred/Grudge.

"I just saw the second jap grudge "

What is this?! WW2? Say Japanese! I realize you were referring to the language/country of origin, but the word Jap is really offensive.

reply

There are lots of nationalities that have abbreviated names in use - I'm Scottish and get called Scot, Scotch (which is weird because I was informed in English classes at school and Uni that this is wrong because it is a drink and Scot is the correct abbreviation) and Brit.

It's a shame that some abbreviations have negative associations.

reply

blame the US for it...id only use jap for an abbreviation. ye i get called a scot...and scotch is like the same thing but they usually use for eggs (scotch eggs). The reason a bottle of scotch is called that...is coz a lot of whisky comes from scotland.

reply

Nah, you can't blame the US for this becoming a "racial slur." Sure, American troops called the Japanese soldiers "Japs" for short during WW2; but how the hell did THAT become an offensive term? Good thing the Brits, Scots, and Aussies aren't such sensitive pricks.

Stand up. Hook up. Shuffle to the door.

reply

I didn't know that "jap" was an offensive racial slur. I assumed it was just an abreviation of japanese.

In the UK, the expression "Jap" does not have the same connotations as it does in the US. It's simply an abbreviation. If you ask the average Brit if "Jap" is offensive, he won't understand why you ask the question in the first place. Maybe therock69-1 is a Brit?

England and America: two countries divided by a common language!

reply

'Jap' is still an offensive work, most Britain's don't think the word "paki" is offensive.

I live in Nottinghamshire, here people are so racist they don't even realise they're being racist half the time.

I live in America, and can honestly say I've never seen that P word before (don't want to offend by spelling it out).

1) My theory is, Kayako's vengeful spirit infected Kyoko's fetis and she was reborn.
2) She came into contact with the curse because Kyoko was already cursed..
3) She didn't "go back and forth to the house until she died" She had dreams that she was in the house, but when she actually died I think it was her second time in the house and she got locked in I dont know how..?
4)
1. Ju-On
2. Ju-On 2
3. Ju-On: The Grudge
4. Ju-On: The Grudge 2
5. Ju-On: The Grudge 3 (In Production)
(There is a difference between Ju-On and Ju-On: The Grudge. basically Ju-On is about Kobayashi (Peter) and Ju-On: The Grudge is the same story as The Grudge.)
